Bethel Assembly recently joined with Angel Food Ministries to provide grocery relief to Guilford and surrounding towns. Angel Food Ministries is a non-profit, non-denominational organization that has been working with churches across the United States for over 14 years. The Angel Food program now is helping provide food relief to more than 500,000 families each month.

There are no restrictions or conditions to purchase Angel Food. The food relief program is open to one and all. Anyone may purchase an unlimited number of boxes of Angel Food by placing an order at Bethel Assembly, your local Angel Food host site.

The basic menu costs $30.00. The menu changes each month giving you a variety of nutritious food, but the price of this basic menu is always the same. After purchasing at least one basic menu, you may order as many specials as you would like at an additional cost. The specials and their cost changes each month but usually are $20.00 each, again a signficant savings.

One unit of food assists in feeding a family of four for about one week or a single senior citizen for almost a month. The food is all the same high quality one could purchase at a grocery store. There are no second-hand items, no damaged or out-dated goods, no dented cans without labels, no day-old breads and no produce that is almost too ripe.

The menu for the following month will be available when you pick up your order. The menu also shows the last date that we will be able to accept orders as well as the pick-up date. Please check these dates as they change each month.

To Order: We suggest placing your order for the next month when your order is picked up. You may also stop in Sundays from 12:00 noon to 1 PM. Each order must be paid for when the order is placed. We accept cash, money orders and Food Stamps.

Picking Up Your Order: Orders are picked up the last Saturday of each month between 8:30 am – 10:00 am. You must have your receipt to pick up your order. Don’t forget a large box for your food -- please do not bring bags.
